WINDOWS XP

Copy the OCX file to c:\windows\system32 and then go to run in the start menu and type regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\COMCTL32.ocx and enter. You are all done.

WINDOWS 7

The above method will work but before that you need to follow these steps

1. Go to control panel

2. User accounts

3. Turn off user control (uncheck it)

WINDOWS 7 64 Bit

Copy the OCX file to c:\windows\sysWOW64 not c:\windows\system32. You then can register it by running from the command prompt or run in the start menu regsvr32 c:\windows\sysWOW64\COMCTL32.ocx
